In this comprehensive, introductory course on worldviews, students will develop the ability to identify underlying belief systems that form the basis for truth claims presented to them through media and culture. Biblical doctrine will become transparently relevant as students begin mastering the ability to bring God's word to bear on what they read, watch, hear, and interact with the course of everyday life.
Promising to strech the students's academic and theological proficiencies, Starting Points will immerse them in the Bible, classic literature, popular films, and works on biblical apologectics including Mere Christianity (C.S. Lewis); Assumptions, (Christian Overman); Know Why You Believe (Paul Little); and Answers for Difficult Days (David Quine).
This course is taught as a ministry of Calvary Bible Church. There will be a $40 charge per semester for administrative costs. The course is designed for students grades 9 and up.
